Play or sit on the sidelines? by Pam Thomas

Play or sit on the sidelines? by Pam Thomas

Life is a wonderful game to be played and not watched from the sidelines. You’ve got to take chances and get in the game or you’ll never know what it feels like to score a goal, sink a three-pointer, or make a touchdown.

So, when was the last time you took a chance? When was the last time you threw caution to the wind and just went for it?

If your answer is, “I have no clue.” OR “Gosh, I don’t remember.” then please ask yourself, “What will it take for me to get off the bench and get into the game?

To assist in warming you up and getting you off the bench try considering the following:

1) You have much more to gain by playing than you do to lose. Think about it, if you go after what you want and get it, you've gained. If you go after what you want and don’t get it, you haven’t lost anything – you've gained experience and the bragging rights to say “Hey, very cool. I tried!”

2) Every experience, good or bad is an opportunity for growth and learning.

3) When you allow fear to stand in your way, you are just handing your power over to the fear. We alll know it is no fun being powerless.

4) Create some awareness around what holds you back. In creating that awareness you have the capability to remove the obstacles, jump over them, or run around them.

5) If you follow your heart, you can’t go wrong.

6) If you follow your heart, and someone thinks you are silly for it, that says more about them then it does about you. Oh, and remember it really is none of your business what others think of you. It is your business what you think of you.

So what’s it gonna be; are you going to sit or are you gonna play?

Fear, a four letter word by Pam Thomas

Fear, a four letter word by Pam Thomas

What is fear?

Fear sometimes protects us, helping us to avoid danger or pain.
Fear is an obstacle or blockage that keeps us from moving forward.
Fear is a feeling.
Fear can be real and valid.
Fear is a great place to hide.

It is OK to feel fearful, especially when it comes to your own safety and well-being. It is OK to feel fearful about your dreams, about taking risks; feeling fear is a natural human emotion.

But here's something to consider; if fear is not serving as a protector from danger, should fear be allowed to stand in your way of creating the life you desire and deserve?

Consider the following few things about fear....

* Fear only resides in the past and the future.
* Fear does not like postives.
* Fear disappears when deep breathing is present.

For just one moment imagine having the ability to flow, to really move through your day without doubt or fear. Imagine diving into new projects, taking exciting risks, setting dreams into action without the second guessing or the white knuckles. What would that be like? What would that feel like? Sit with that thought or feeling for a moment. Soak it in, remember it, especially during the times when fear is preventing you from doing something that will serve you in a positive way.

If that does not work for you, feel free to give these additional strategies a try...

1. Become very present, in the here and the now. Stop, take a good look around you and engage your five senses. What do you see? What do you hear? etc.
2. Take four deep cleansing breaths to a count of four; four counts in through the nose and exhale to a count of four through the mouth.
3. The brain, while an amazing wonder, can’t think positive and negative thoughts at the same time. So since fear evokes negative thoughts try copping an attitude of gratitude. Take your hand, place it over your heart and in the moment list no less than three things you are most grateful for.
4. Take stock of the fear. Ask yourself is the fear serving you in a positive or negative way? Creating awareness is a powerful way to combat fear, because from awareness comes the ability to choose.

Just remember you deserve to have the life you desire without the fear. Here's to eradicating that four letter from your vocabulary.

FEAR= False Evidence Appearing Real

"We love, love, love how playful..." by Abraham-Hicks

We love, love, love how playful the Universe is. Right after sending you the last email letting you know about a fun new video clip entitled “The Most Profound Question” I opened a file drawer to file some pictures AND sticking out of that file was THIS picture. I could hardly believe it. On the back this picture I had taped the business card from the great guy who sent the picture right after hearing Abraham’s conversation at our San Francisco workshop way back in July of 2005. His name is Jeff Ashcraft (Graphic Design and Photography) jeffree@sopris.net

What do you choose? by Pam Thomas

What do you choose? by Pam Thomas

Do you find that you sometimes take on someone else's...

...bad mood?
...insecurities?
...anger?
...hatred?
...fear?

If you answered "yes" to any of the options it may be time to take stock in the energy that you are sharing with the world. Remember, as harsh as this may sound like attracts like. If you are a fan of the Law of Attraction you will recall that our own energy levels (vibrations) attract similar energy levels (vibrations). Which means that if you are thinking and feeling negatively, there is a good chance that more negative vibes will come your way. Sounds pretty rotten doesn't it?

Well, guess what? There is good news! The good news is, you have a choice. You can choose the energy level you wish to operate from and you can choose not to allow others' emotional messes to become your mess. There is a wonderful example of this in the awesome book Feel It Real!: A Guided Approach to Bringing the Law of Attraction into Your Life.

In the book, the author Denise Coates shares a powerful story about a man full of hatred who traveled to see Buddha. When he met Buddha, rather than share kindness and love, he chose to curse, swear, and call Buddha names. Never once did Buddha fall prey to the man's hateful behavior. Seeing that his behavior was having no impact upon Buddha, the hateful man grew weary. Buddha turned to the man and asked him, "If a man brings me a gift and I refuse to accept it, to whom does the gift belong?" The man responded by saying that the gift belonged to the gift giver. To which Buddha replied, "Then if you come to me with a gift of hatred and I refuse to accept it, to whom does the hatred belong?" With that the man realized that his hatred only belonged to him and no one else.

So the next time you find yourself taking on someone else's emotions, ask yourself the following,

"Do I choose to accept or refuse this gift?" From awareness comes choice. The choice really is YOURS!

The Law Of Attraction Instruction Guide By Beth McCain

The Law Of Attraction Instruction Guide By Beth McCain

There really is a method to applying the Law of Attraction intentionally to obtain the life that you want to live. We have listed some of the important points to think on when you are applying the Law of Attraction. Think of it as your instruction manual to the life that you want. Each point is just as important as the next and when you go down your checklist each day make sure it includes all of the following.
Find your repetitive thought patterns and if they need changing to accommodate the life that you want to live, change them.

Each one of us has repetitive thoughts that we focus on whether we recognize it or not. Maybe you have a repetitive thought of ‘not having enough’ even when you are in the position of having enough. Maybe you get a check and you have money left over and you are worrying about next month already. This is a lack focus that is repeating in your life over and over again. How do you stop? By replacing your negative focus with a better positive focus. Usually the opposite of what you are worrying about. So you would begin to be appreciative of what you have and then replace the lack thought with thoughts of abundance. By replacing your negative thought pattern with a positive thought pattern your life will begin to change to what you focus on.

Be appreciative of the life you are living now as well as the life you want to live.
It’s true what they say about happiness. In order to find happiness begin by being happy. As you focus on what you want and trust that the Universe will bring you what you focus on and feel, be appreciative of what you have in your life now. Be grateful for your 12-year-old car while you are visualizing the new car. Be grateful that your old car runs and has been so good to you while you are focusing on your hands grasping the steering wheel of your new car. Be appreciative of what money you have now at the same time you are envisioning more. Be appreciative of the life you have now because those feelings will bring you more to be appreciative and bring your new goal even faster. If you think that you will be happy when you have money then that is where it will stay. Be happy now, be appreciative now and those feelings and thoughts will bring you more to be happy and appreciative about.

Giving to others in any manner.

You hear it time and time again. Give in order to receive. There is a catch here. Give, from the heart, and you will receive what you have given. Giving can’t be for the sake of selfishness. You can’t give expecting that the Universe will bring it back to you. Give, from the heart, helping others in any manner and the Universe will bring the same vibration back to you. If it is attached with an ‘it’s all about me’ attitude then you will be getting an all about me attitude back. Giving doesn’t always require money. Giving can be counseling someone or just lending an ear to someone who needs to talk. Giving can be about community service or helping an elderly person with their groceries. Giving can be about putting a few pennies in the grocery charity jar or smiling and saying hello to a homeless person. The key here is to give like you mean it, and then mean it. You will find the rewards are immense.

Your reactions to life.

This is a big one. How do you react to life? Do you get frustrated or impatient when things don’t go the way that you wanted? Do you become annoyed when that person you don’t really care for comes over and bends your ear? What is your genuine reaction to life? Your genuine reaction will tell you where your general focus is and your general focus is important to everyday life in the Law of Attraction.
When something seemingly bad happens your reaction is just as important as your end result of what you are focusing on. You see the bad situation may have happened from past thoughts or feelings you may have had and how you react will change the pattern. Look at the situation beyond the surface and see what it is that you are learning from the situation. Find the solution within it. Why was this given to you? And then ‘let it go’ and continue focusing on your end result. Let go of the bad situation and see a solution and not the problem within it. If you can’t find the solution, then know that there is one, and let the Universe reveal it to you. Another thing that can happen is sometimes it takes a ‘clearing out of the negative’ day to get life to jolt into a positive space and that could be the culprit of the seemingly bad situation. It doesn’t matter why, it doesn’t matter how, just don’t buy into the negative circumstance and go beyond the physical and know that you are always fine no matter what. Let go and let the Universe take care of the situation. Be aware of the opportunities that the Universe places in front of you, but trust and expect it all to be just as you want it. Keep your eyes on your end result and pay no mind to the negative thought that the bad circumstance may have forced upon you. Keep mentally moving forward from the negative and keep your eyes on the positive. This kind of reaction will change your life.

Allow others to be who they are.

When you have someone who gives you unsolicited advice or their opinon ‘allow’ them to be who they are. They are either thinking they want to help or control but just realize they are creating their own world and you don’t have to be a part of the creation. When you react and fume, you are becoming a part of their world but when you see that they are creating, just like you, even if you don’t like what they create you don’t become a part of their creation; stay in your own space. They are who they are and you can react or not.

Shift from problem thinking to solution thinking.

When you have a problem in your life don’t focus on the problem. Focus on the solution. Instead of mulling the problem over and over again see the problem solved and the relief and joy you feel within the solution. If you don’t have an answer for the solution, ask the Universe for one and then release the problem to be solved to the Universe and you will have a solution. The Law of Attraction always brings back to you what you focus on.

There are just a few points to remember as you are creating the life that you want through the Law of Attraction.

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PRILL BEADS? by Angela Treat Lyon

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PRILL BEADS? by Angela Treat Lyon

I found out about this wonderful way to unpollute my tap water about 10 years ago and have been using it ever since. They come nicely bagged in a small, palm-sized waterproof bag in which you can either leave them or not. They're not really beads, but look like a tiny version of that white gravel people put on their garden paths.

I save about 50 bucks a month because I don't buy bottled water anymore. Here's why: the molecular structure of the beads make water into a more easily assimilatable form, and they also eliminate mold, chlorine and other impurities from water. They are reputed to be so effective that you can pour some of the prill-cleaned water into a polluted lake every day and the lake will clear up. They are also said to kill black mold.

What I like best about them is they make water taste as sweet as the well water I remember drinking when I was a kid.

I have no commercial affiliation with anyone who sells Prill beads, but thought you'd like to know about them and save some dough every month - especially if you're a large family.

Using the beads helps the environment, too - you won't be buying the bottles water anymore, which will cut down on plastic bottles sold and thrown away; plus when water from when you spill into the sink goes down the drain, it helps the sewage system, too. I pour a little into the canal out back of my house a few times a week.

If you get them from Ebay - as little as 8 bucks - there are no instructions, so look below** for how to use them if you get them.

** HOW TO USE PRILL BEADS
When I first got the beads, I had about a dozen liter bottles of bottled water I was going to recycle. So I just used those bottles. Obviously I don't have the same ones from 10 years ago - I replace them when they start to look too-used.

I bought a gallon jug of the cheapest wine I could find just for the glass jug. I don't drink, so I poured it out - sorry wine lovers! I emptied the little bag of beads into the bottom of the jug, and that's where they stay.

You pour tap water over the beads and let it sit 24 hours. Pour out the first batch - it will smell awful. You can use the second batch and from then on.

You pour the water from the jug into the smaller bottles every day, then refill the jug from the tap. Cover it lightly - don't tighten the lid. Blow off the accumulated chlorine gasses at the top of the jug when you open the lid.

The water will be completely safe - the chlorine seeps to the top and has to go somewhere - you just don't want to breathe it!

Wash and refill your waiting liter bottles, store and use, and refill the jug. Easy, saves you big bucks, and helps clean up the world. Very cool.

"WHY NOT TO SAY THIS: "I NEED A BREAK!" by Angela Treat Lyon

WHY NOT TO SAY THIS: "I NEED A BREAK!"

Have you ever wondered about people who say "Give me a break!", and then watch them break something? Power of suggestion? Law of Attraction? What you think/say, you get?

Instead, I think I might say, "I'm putting the brakes on and slowing down a bit" - because that's what it's usually about, right? Doing too much and needing to slow down? Try it!

Good Things Come to Those Who Ask by Jack Canfield

Good Things Come to Those Who Ask
by Jack Canfield

Asking for what you need is probably the most underutilized tool for people. And yet, amazing requests have been granted to people simply because they've asked for it!

Whether its money, information, support, assistance, or time, most people are afraid to ask for what they need in order to make their dreams come true.

They might be afraid of looking needy, ignorant, helpless, or even greedy. More than likely though, it is the fear of rejection that is holding them back. Even though they are afraid to hear the word no, they're already saying it to themselves by not asking!

Do you ask for what you want or are you afraid of rejection?

Consider this: Rejection is just a concept. There is really no such thing as rejection! You're not any worse off by hearing no than you were before you asked. You didn't have what you asked for before you asked and you still don't, so what did you lose?

Being rejected doesn't hold you back from anything. Only YOU hold yourself back. When you realize that there's no merit to rejection, you'll feel more comfortable asking for things. You may just need a bit of help learning how to ask for what you want.

How to Ask for What You Want

There's a specific science to asking for and getting what you want or need in life. And while I recommend you learn more by studying The Aladdin Factor, here are some quick tips to get you started:

1. Ask as if you expect to get it. Ask with a positive expectation. Ask from the place that you have already been given it. It is a done deal. Ask as if you expect to get a "yes."

2. Assume you can.
Don't start with the assumption that you can't get it. If you are going to assume, assume you can get an upgrade. Assume you can get a table by the window. Assume that you can return it without a sales slip. Assume that you can get a scholarship, that you can get a raise, that you can get tickets at this late date. Don't ever assume against yourself.

3. Ask someone who can give it to you. Qualify the person. Who would I have to speak to to get...Who is authorized to make a decision about...What would have to happen for me to get...

4. Be clear and specific.
In my seminars, I often ask, "Who wants more money in their life?" I'll pick someone who raised their hand and give them a quarter, asking, "Is that enough for you?" "No? Well, how would I know how much you want. How would anybody know?"

You need to ask for a specific number. Too many people are walking around wanting more of something, but not being specific enough to obtain it.

5. Ask repeatedly. One of the most important Success Principles is the commitment to not give up.

Whenever we're asking others to participate in the fulfillment of our goals, some people are going to say "no." They may have other priorities, commitments and reasons not to participate. It's no reflection on you.

Just get used to the idea that there's going to be a lot of rejection along the way to the brass ring. The key is to not give up. When someone says "No"-- you say "NEXT!" Why?

Because when you keep on asking, even the same person again and again...they might say "yes"...

...on a different day
...when they are in a better mood
...when you have new data to present
...after you've proven your commitment to them
...when circumstances have changed
...when you've learned how to close better
...when you've established better rapport
...when they trust you more
...when you have paid your dues
...when the economy is better
...and so on.

Kids know this Success Principle better than anyone. They will ask the same person over and over again without any hesitation (can you relate!).

Getting a good perspective on rejection and learning how to ask will make a world of difference for you as you work toward your goals. Practice asking and you'll get very good at it! You'll even speed your progress by getting what you need, or improving yourself in order to get it later.

Make a list of what you need to ask for in all areas of your life, and start asking.

Remember, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE... if you dare to ask!

Wise Words by Norman Vincent Peale

"We've all heard that we have to learn from our mistakes, but I think it's more important to learn from successes. If you learn only from your mistakes, you are inclined to learn only errors."
